Function:

The Blast Entry and Safety Attendant is a front-line team member assigned exclusively to the Bavarian Blast indoor waterpark at the Bavarian Inn Lodge.

This position plays a key role in ensuring a safe and welcoming entry process for all guests. Responsibilities include screening guest bags for prohibited items—such as outside food, beverages, glass, and weapons—and issuing wristbands based on height measurements.

Attendants also staff the safety desk, where they answer guest questions, provide general information, and offer basic assistance, including minor first-aid supplies. This position supports the daily operations of the waterpark and works closely with the Aquatics Management team to uphold park guidelines and deliver friendly, guest-focused service.

Shifts:   3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Must be available to work any combination of hours between these periods, weekends, week days, and holidays. 

FUNCTION:

Under the direction of the Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Supervisors, and Lead Public Housekeepers is able to clean and maintain all public areas and guest rooms according to the standards and procedures established by the Bavarian Inn Lodge.   Is able to perform all work assigned on daily and monthly work lists.  Able to work a variety of shifts which include AM and PM schedules (7:00 a.m.- 1:30 a.m.).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Good personal hygiene.

Minimum 1 year experience at Bavarian Inn Lodge or 1 year Housekeeping experience or the equivalent in another operation.

Ability to stand, reach, bend and kneel for 8+ hour shifts.

Ability to push/pull equipment with a 10 lbs. + force.

Ability to lift 10 lbs.

Pay: $6.30/hr + tips

Hours:

Part Time: Earliest shift starting at 6:00am, latest shift ending at 12:00pm. Average of 3-5 days per week. Must be available to works days, evenings, holidays and weekends and any variety of shift between these hours.

Work Performed: Prepares for guest arrival in dining rooms or for private parties. Re-arranges tables and chairs as necessary and sets tables with proper condiments and table settings. Takes food orders in sequence. Check for special orders (e.g. tortes) and form of payment (e.g. separate checks, one check, checks in with Hostess or Banquet Coordinator.  Re-arrange tables for guest with comfort and safety in mind. Sets tables with napkin, fork, knife and spoon. Serves dinners and beverages to customers and collects payment.

Basic Qualifications: 

• 18 years or older.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum six months experience in waiting tables to attain knowledge of procedures and areas preferred.

• Ability to stand and walk continually.

• Ability to lift trays and other containers of moderate weights up to 50lbs, according to training procedures.

• Ability to work different schedules and attend monthly and corporate meetings.

 WORK SHIFTS:  6:30AM – 12:30AM, any combination of shifts between these hours. Must be available for morning and evening shifts.  Weekdays, weekends, and some holidays required.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Assists customers in their purchases of items sold in the retail areas. Collects payment for items sold using point of sale system. Displays and tags merchandise. Assists in keeping the retail display areas properly stocked. Keeps retail area clean and organized.  Services guests in a safe and efficient manner. Performs functions and tasks of retail areas in a manner that will contribute to earning a profit. Ensures guest satisfaction and safety.

Job Description:

Under general supervision, cleans and maintains guestrooms for occupancy according to standards and procedures established by the Bavarian Inn Lodge. Seeks out opportunities to provide exceptional gust service. This is accomplished by training employees to greet all guests in a warm and friendly manner, training employees to be courteous to our guests and fellow employees and setting an example for all coworkers. This is performed on a daily basis.

Hours:  Part-time – Average of 20-24 hours per week (4-6 days per week)

Earliest Shift Start: 8:00 am

Latest Shift End: 4:00 pm

Must be willing to work a variety of hours between these times, weekends, weekdays, and holiday shifts required.

1. Any combination of hours between 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM. 2-5 Days per week. 16-36 hours per week. Hours may vary in busy or slow seasons. 
2. Other shifts may be used from time to time due to large number of check-ins or check-outs. 
3. Clerks will work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

JOB FUNCTION:    

The primary responsibility of the Front Desk Clerk is checking guests in or out and collecting payments. Projects the high standards of the Bavarian Inn Lodge by performing all functions relating to registration and checking out of all hotel guests as well as creating, changing, and canceling reservations in an accurate, courteous, and efficient manner.  In charge of the activities relating to the early Front Desk Clerk shift.  Takes a roll in training all new Front Desk personnel.  Must possess ability to find solutions to problems that occur during Front Desk & Reservation operations.  Have the ability or effectiveness in selling and presenting persuasively.  Upselling must be maintained and offered.  Will strive to offer the highest level of guest service offered in Michigan. Performs other duties as directed by the Front Desk Manager and the Front Desk Supervisors.

Basic arithmetic and typing skills, knowledge of area attractions.
